When it comes to faucets and toilets, there are so many great brands and it’s hard to narrow down to a small list. But the best advice we can give is to purchase from a brand name that you have heard of before like Moen, Kohler, Delta, Grohe, Hansgrohe, or Kraus. The list goes on and on but there are certain things that set some apart and that is customer service and replacement parts.

Hansgrohe and Moen have amazing customer service and their warranty is top of the game. If in the future your faucets or toilets are to have any issue, you will be able to get replacement parts quick and easy.

When it comes to toilets, we actually do have two preferred brands. For a standard two-piece toilet our go to is an American Standard toilet because it flushes with power, has standard universal available parts and the price is right. Check them out for some great options.

For a level up on toilets, we love the TOTO brand toilets. If you’re looking for a sleek two-piece toilet, one-piece toilet, or a skirted toilet, they have many options to choose from.

We also like TOTO because they make their toilet designs with maintenance in mind. So when the plumber needs to repair the toilet years down the line, we don’t need to remove the toilet for access to the back, this keeps the cost down.

One brand in particular that makes really nice designs but is very difficult to repair once installed is Duravit. They make quality toilets but because of the design we cannot access the back to replace parts if needed. So in those cases we need to uninstall and reinstall the toilet for a simple repair. At Oasis Plumbing, when we’re installing a brand new Duravit toilet, we replace the original fill valve parts prior to installation so that the repair can be done easily at a minimal cost in the future. What faucets or toilets not to purchase?

We often see these brand less faucets that people purchase on Amazon, they look amazing and they’re only $46. The catch? They don’t last and a lot of times they leak immediately once installed. Saving $100 today will cost more money in a month or in a year. Better to buy quality and trusted brands that have a phone number, good customer service and readily available parts if repairs are needed.

Glacier Bay is only sold at Home Depot but the repair parts can be very difficult to find. In that case, we often have no choice but to replace the toilet. Why does the only store that sells this brand not have parts? We really don’t know.

The same applies for brands online that are not common, better to stay away from it especially if you have not heard of that brand before.
